Home reversion plans offered by members of Safe Home Income Plans (SHIP) adhere to a strict code of practice laid down by SHIP and supported by their Complaints Board.

Advising, arranging or administering equity release products and providing home reversion plans is fully regulated by the Financial Services Authority (FSA).
